Hello, and thanks for taking the time to visit my National Parks art website. My name is Dan Moore (I go by Danillo… it’s a long story), and photographing scenes from our National Parks System is my passion. I grew up and continue to live near Green Bay, WI and am fortunate enough to come from a family that traveled, so I was exposed to National Parks sites, especially National Historic sites and other Parks sites of historical interest, from a very early age. I also have great memories from family trips west to South Dakota (catching the Badlands and Mount Rushmore, among other parks), and while visiting my grandparents in Arizona (hello Grand Canyon!). I attended college at the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay, and graduated with a degree in Integrated Communication (essentially graphic design), with a minor in two dimensional art. This education gave me exposure to the world of art and design, and I had the benefit of learning from some outstanding art faculty.
After graduating, and having gotten a real job, I had the ability to travel and experience our National Parks anew. It was particularly during a visit to Arches National Park in 2002 where my love for our Parks system was rekindled. Since then I have visited over 100 NPS sites, many of them multiple times.
Please take some time to look through my work. This site will be updated with new photos and paintings as they are completed, so check back often. A great way to follow my travels and any new additions to the website is through my Facebook page, which you can see below and at http://www.facebook.com/NationalParksArtist.
Thanks again for visiting!
